Just one good reason.
If you’re anything like us, you’re a busy person. And right now, you’re looking for high-performance appliances. You heard you should look at Siemens home appliances, but you don’t really have the time to wade through every page of this or any other appliance website. You just want one good reason why you should buy a Siemens appliance.
We hear you. Following is a list of several Siemens appliances, with one product representing each type of appliance we offer, along with with one good reason why you should buy each. Of course, this is not a complete list of Siemens appliances. There are many more Siemens products and many more Siemens features to learn about on this site, but if we were forced to pick just one feature of each product type to tell you about, these would be the ones.
avantGarde® iSlide™ Oven It may seem strange to choose an oven based on the way you control it, but the fact of the matter is, the iSlide™ oven control enhances both the looks and performance of the Siemens iSlide™ oven. There’s a lot of advanced cooking technology in our ovens, and this sleek-looking oven control makes it all simple. You just put your finger in the grooved circle, and dial up an awesome meal.
avantGarde® Induction Cooktop The induction cooktop is the number one cooktop found in European kitchens, and Siemens is the number one brand of built-in appliances in Europe. And the one thing we’d like to point out about induction cooktops is their speed.
In a nutshell, induction cooking works by using electro-magnetic fields to turn the metal pot or pan itself into the heating element. It heats evenly, and gets hot 25% faster than a gas cooktop and 60% faster than an electric cooktop. That means you can eat up to 25% or 60% sooner.
Downdraft Ventilation We have many ventilation hoods to fit your kitchen, including custom inserts for custom surround installations. But where is it written that ventilation has to come from above? The Siemens downdraft ventilation systems are surface-mounted solutions that provide 600 cfm of ventilation in a clean, streamlined design.
avantGarde® Microwave Style is every bit as important to us as performance. Our avantGarde® microwave goes with our integrated liftDoor™ (sold separately and required for installation). It provides a seamless, integrated look that matches our avantGarde® ovens and warming drawer perfectly.
xTronic® Ranges Convection cooking is one thing. Siemens threeD Surround Convection™ cooking is something else. Siemens improved range cooking performance by adding a third convection ring. And the convection fan doesn’t just blow the air all over. Part of the threeD Surround Convection™ system includes a baffle system that directs the air to very specific areas of the range’s oven cavity. It ensures extremely even cooking of your chicken parmigiana.
Refrigerator Tower You put things in the refrigerator, and you expect them to get cold. Eventually. But Siemens invented quickCool™ refrigerator technology, so when you put your still-hot pot of leftover chili next to the raw chicken, you don’t have to worry. Just push a button, and the Siemens refrigerator temporarily overrides your refrigerator’s temperature settings, and provides maximum cooling.
Freezer Tower If it’s good for our refrigerator, it’s good for our freezer. Siemens quickFreeze™ freezer technology quickly freezes your leftovers at the push of a button, without thawing your hand-packed cinammon-coffee ice cream.
hiDefinition® Dishwasher Should we tell you about the flow-through heater or the closed drying systemon our dishwasher? Tough one, but we’d have to go with the closed drying system.
The way typical dishwashers dry dishes is by blowing hot air on your wet, freshly washed dishes. Where does the air come from? From the floor beneath your dishwasher. Have you looked at the floor below your dishwasher lately? The best case scenario is that it’s only covered with dust and spilled cereal. The worst case is...well, let’s leave it to your imagination. Let’s just say it’s disgusting.
It was that very disgust that drove us to invent a hygienic, sealed drying system. Our system is completely closed. We don’t use any air at all to dry the dishes. The wash water gets super-heated by our flow-through heater (sorry, we just had to sneak it in somewhere), which sanitizes the dishes, and heats the stainless steel internal walls of the dishwasher. The heat from the walls causes the moisture on the dishes to condense, and the condensation runs down the smooth stainless steel. The result is spot-free, completely sanitized dishes from which you can’t wait to eat something delicious.
avantGarde® Built-in Coffee System If it doesn’t taste good, it doesn’t matter how convenient it is. With the Siemens flavorSwirl™ brewing system, beans are precision-ground to the perfect consistency with a powerful burr grinder. The grounds and filtered water are then swirled in a patented, pressurized chamber, to extract the maximum amount of richness and subtlety out of every coffee ground. That’s something you’ll appreciate, early morning after early morning.
ultraSense® Clothes Washer Do you wash your cycling shorts in warm/warm, warm/cold or cold/cold? The specialty cycles on the Siemens clothes washer do all the thinking for you. Just choose from washer cycles like darkColor™, Outdoor, woolCare™, Sanitary 170˚ and more. Each cycle is designed to deliver the precise water temperature at the precise point in the cycle that each garment type requires, along with the proper spin speed. We’ll concentrate on washing them. You concentrate on wearing them.
ultraSense® Clothes Dryer Technically, this is not one thing. It’s 685 things. Look at the back of the Siemens clothes dryer, and you’ll see it’s full of holes. Relatively large holes.
Look at other dryer manufacturers, and you’ll see a few tiny holes. The people who make dryers with tiny holes think the best way to dry clothes is with extremely hot air, and they don’t need very big holes to blow all that hot air.
Siemens, on the other hand, has rethought this archaic point of view. We chose to dry clothes using high air velocity (hence, the 685 large holes). That way, extremely hot air isn’t required, and your clothes are dried in a much safer environment. The high air velocity also dries more evenly, since clothes are blown around with more movement.
